I've had a lifelong love of studying English Literature and am passionate about engaging as many people as possible with the subject. I believe that even if you don't have a love of books like myself, the transferrable skills you can gain from the subject are invaluable for all aspects of life! I have 3 years tutoring experience across various English exam boards as well as National 5. I am currently on track to achieve QTS in summer, with 2 years of classroom experience. In my own experience of writing exams and essays at school and university, I've found that when you are confident in your ability to analyse a text and get to grips with your exam board's Assessment Objectives, you can get through any text or topic with ease. I certainly struggled with finding the best revision techniques for myself when I was in school and use the variety of methods I've tried to find whatever works best for the student. 

My sessions are informal and entirely tailored towards each pupil's needs. I believe that helping the pupil relate to the subject on a practical level really helps with engagement so will try and incorporate their interests where possible! Lots of focus around what the examiner would like to see with lots of praise to boost the pupil's confidence!
