I am a friendly, personable and enthusiastic student, who is very easy to talk to and engage with. Whilst studying for my GCSEs and A levels I was fortunate enough to receive excellent help from tutors, in order to achieve the grades I did. This has encouraged me to help students who are in similar situations to what I experienced, and I also believe that it would be a great privilege for me to be able to help students reach their potential. I've always enjoyed science and maths at school level and this has pushed me to study a degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Birmingham. This means that I still have to use all of the fundamental techniques that are taught at GCSE/ A Level, and so I have maintained a sound understanding of them. I will help students to improve by offering a much more personal teaching style than a classroom, which means I can adapt the lessons to suit each individual students interests and learning styles. I will aim to make the sessions as enjoyable and laid back as possible, whilst also ensuring the students gain a firm understanding of the subject material so that they can achieve the best grades possible. I believe that being able to connect with students about a common interest will massively help to achieve this. Away from work I have a range of interests ranging from sports (football, cricket and F1) to films and TV shows.
