Hey there! Thanks so much for clicking on my page. My name is Lydia and I'm 24 years old. I have a BA in French and German and MA in Creative Writing from the University of Exeter. I have always had an interest in words and language. I'm a huge bookworm and the opportunity to explore prose and poetry in two other languages at university was wonderful. I continued to read and write prose and poetry in English in my spare time as well.

I completed English Language and Literature to GCSE level and continued with English Literature up to A level. I have experience tutoring students through the National Tutoring Programme so I am up to date with the structure and teaching of English in schools.

I completed French and German GCSE and A level before studying it at university. I spent six months studying in Germany and two months working in France meaning I have a good level of the languages and experience of learning them at school. I think languages are so fun to learn and would love to ignite a passion and dedication to them in my students.

I will offer a tailor-made approach, where I first assess what the student needs most help with and focus primarily on that to help build their confidence and ability in the subject. I will support their learning and aid with revision techniques. I am also happy to read over any essays or assignments they have.

For English, I can offer activities such as practice exam questions, discussion of themes and ideas, and writing exercises to improve technique. For French and German, I can offer writing, reading, listening, speaking, grammar practice. Whatever your child needs help with, I will do my best to support and tutor them.
