I am an international student from Amsterdam and a recent graduate of Chemistry at King's College London. I have lots of experience tutoring, for a variety of ages and subjects (Chemistry, Maths, and Physics especially). I know that these subjects can be difficult to wrap your head around but I'm happy to help solidify understanding so that all the tools are at your disposal!
I like to centre my tutoring sessions around gaining confidence in the topics that are harder, and knowing how to apply said topics to questions. I truly believe that being confident in your understanding of a topic can go a long way and really sets the path to a good learning experience along with a knack and passion for the subject.

I like to ensure that my students have a place to go for help outside of tutoring sessions. I do this by preparing a resource bank that's tailored to each individual student. This gives them links to notes, guidelines, videos that help solidify understanding, and many more. This way they don't feel lost without the guidance of a tutor and have things to refer to outside of the sessions.
I ensure that I'm keeping the parents up to date after every session, and like to map a trajectory of a student's experiences, by taking the occasional 15 minutes to see how far they've come and what still needs work after every few sessions (usually every 4-5 sessions).
We only take tutor applications from candidates who are studying at the UK’s leading universities. Candidates who fulfil our grade criteria then pass to the interview stage, where a member of the MyTutor team will personally assess them for subject knowledge, communication skills and general tutoring approach. About 1 in 8 becomes a tutor on our site.
