Hey, I'm Ellie. I am currently studying mathematics at university. I am quite methodical and I have loved maths ever since I was a young child - in fact I would always ask for puzzle books and to learn more maths for Christmas! I have a problem solving mind and an eye for detail, which I use to do jigsaws and various puzzle books, as well as spend time with my two cats, in my spare time.

I have tutored outside of MyTutor and I really enjoyed seeing my tutees grow in both confidence and understanding of the material. For me, tutoring is about helping students to achieve their full potential.

When I tutor, I like to start out by explaining how to do a concept and then do some practice questions, before going onto an exam question. I also shift my focus onto exam papers more as the pupils exam season approaches, allowing them to get more of a feel for what the exam will entail. I also try to apply these concepts to the real world wherever possible, because I find this helps to make the concepts more engaging and relatable.
