Hello! My name is Roxana, a Master's student of Mathematics at King's. Having tutored for more than three and a half years now, I believe I have the experience to help you stand out in your subject(s) while achieving a deeper understanding of them. 

Last summer, I graduated with a Bachelor's in Mathematics and Physics, having done the International Baccalaureate program (IB) before that. My love for these subjects comes from admiring their beauty and complexity and how they can help us unravel the mysteries of the universe. 

My mission as a tutor is simple: I want to share this enthusiasm and demystify maths and physics for my students. I fiercely believe anyone can excel in these subjects with the right guidance. My approach is rooted in patience, empathy, and kindness. Having struggled with these subjects in the past while taking the IB, I completely understand the challenges students often face.

In our sessions, you will find a supportive and collaborative learning environment. I will help you gain confidence in your subject while guiding you to achieve the grades you are aiming for. Together, we will work through problems and exam questions while navigating the fascinating world of maths and physics.

Each student's journey is unique. I will begin by assessing your current understanding of the subject and, from there, tailor a personalised learning plan that addresses your specific needs, whether it is understanding the theory or working on past papers.

I am committed to helping you get to the bottom of fundamental concepts deeply. I will break down complex topics into manageable chunks, and we will explore them together.

Practice makes perfect. We will work through a lot of examples and past paper questions together. Do not worry about making mistakes along the journey, it is the only way to learn!

The most important part of the sessions will be your work outside the lessons. By working on your problem sheets, you will practice and realise what concepts you need to understand better. This way, the sessions will be really effective, as we will mainly work on what you have found challenging already.

Moreover, I am happy to support you outside the lessons by answering questions and sending you extra resources to complement your learning.
