I recently finished a masters degree in Byzantine History but my interests are diverse. I am offering tutoring in three subjects that I know very well: History, Geography, and English. I studied them all to the highest level at school and remain engaged with each of them through my reading.

About my sessions
Often I find that my tutees are simply in need of greater confidence. I instil this by showing them how they can convey all of the things that they already know. This means doing practice questions and past papers together, but allowing the tutee to take the lead role. I am there to support, but not to instruct. I hope that my approach leaves my tutees able to think for themselves as well as enthusiastic for their subjects.

We only take tutor applications from candidates who are studying at the UK’s leading universities. Candidates who fulfil our grade criteria then pass to the interview stage, where a member of the MyTutor team will personally assess them for subject knowledge, communication skills and general tutoring approach. About 1 in 8 becomes a tutor on our site.
