Hi there!

My name is Sarah. I'm a graduate from the University of Exeter who studied English Literature and Creative Writing. I have always been an avid reader and had a fervour for English and writing...so my degree makes sense!

I am truly passionate about helping others achieve their goals. I will work on a personal yet professional level to ensure you are comfortable, that our sessions are based around you, and that you acquire all of the support you need.

I am very bubbly, understanding and a good communicator. Whatever your level, I am certain we can work together to achieve the best possible grade, and just as importantly, boost your confidence with English.

My sessions and how they are structured will greatly depend on the student, as my aim is to work around them and based on their needs, in order to give them the best support possible.

I will prepare for my lessons by revising the syllabus for the student's specific subject and exam board, and will provide exercises and homework based on where I think, or they think, they need to work on. As time goes on and I become more familiar with the student, I will be able to judge where they need the extra support and practice.

I will measure progress by seeing the student become more confident in their abilities within the subject, and by seeing them improve through the work after time, compared to where they were in the beginning of our sessions. I think what is important to encourage learning is patience and enthusiasm; if the tutor has a love and passion for their subject, it will help the student to learn in a more effective way.
