Hi, I’m Imogen, a fourth year medical student at the University of Birmingham. I am passionate about the sciences and want to share my enthusiasm with students in order to aid their improvement. I studied Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A level, and chose to study medicine because it gave me the perfect opportunity to develop my scientific skills and also to give back to the community. I have lots of experience working with people from all ages and backgrounds. I am adaptable and diligent, and will therefore work with whatever learning styles are most effective for the students.

I have an 100% medical school interview success rate and achieved 3 offers when I applied for medical school. I am also currently the student representative for the MMI interviews at Birmingham University and will be Interviewing applicants this year. I want to use my knowledge and experiences to help those who wish to apply for medical school. I can help with BMAT, UCAT and interview preparations

I tailor lessons based off how each student prefers to learn, this can be through the use of exam questions, mind maps or diagrams. I usually start by identifying targets and goals which the student wants to achieve and then we work towards these as the weeks go on. At the end of lessons I set a few quick review questions which the student will tackle alone and then we can identify areas of learning which may need more time to master.
