Hi,

My name's Myles and I’m currently a 4th year medical student at Lancaster Medical school with a growing interest in a surgical career. Im all too familiar with the difficulties of struggling in the subjects that required good grade outcomes, but I found a path for myself and into medical school.

I ended up with 6A* and 3As and a B at GCSE, Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Physics all being included in the A*s.

I wasn’t the most naturally gifted student but I made sure to work the hardest and built some tools for success that I still use to this day. I want to do the same for other students and make GCSEs less stressful by breaking concepts down into easy-to-learn lessons and memorable methods. I look forward to learning with you :)

The first session starts with a little discussion, talking about the possible areas of improvement for the student which is usually followed by a short assessment of the topics discussed using exam questions. This normally allows me get a detailed idea of the students current level of understanding of each topic and how I might be able to help. 

The following lessons are planned based on the areas discussed both with the pupil and suggested by the parent. Any suggestions from teachers are always welcome. I’ll always be aiming to tailor the sessions to a students strengths, weaknesses and learning style to hopefully maximise learning potential, this also means its not usually a boring lesson.
